GMC (acronym for Grabowski Motor Company) is a manufacturer of vehicles and a division of General Motors automotive group founded in 1901 by Max Grabowski and bought by General Motors in 1909. The national company like General Motors Truck Company, Truck GMC derivatives or simply GMC. In January 2007, GMC became the second company of the conglomerate with more sales behind General Motors and Chevrolet ahead of Pontiac.
