RIS informed parents about international curriculum and the look is languages at the school after a successful launch of the RIS 2009 already on the upcoming school year 2010/11. On two occasions in the spring parents about the special international training at the Regensburg international school in Grossberg/Pentling can check. Principal Fiona Kalinowski and Managing Director Dr. Bettina Stoll introduce the concept of the school and answer questions. Central are the mission statement and the objectives of the school, in addition to organisational issues such as registration, school fees and expiration of the school.
The RIS is on the way to becoming an international baccalaureate world school. For the IB primary years programme (IB-PYP) it is already Candidate School. At a later date, RIS will initiate the approval process for the IB Diploma programs. This degree, which is entitled to study at universities is recognised by leading universities around the world. Currently visit children at the age of six to ten years out of 10 different Nations RIS.
In the coming years, the expansion of the school is both a PreSchool intended for children aged from 3 to 6 years as well as the classes 5-12. Students are taught in English by native speakers. In addition, they learn too German as a foreign language for children from abroad and as the mother tongue for the local children. The Regensburg international school was established under the auspices of the city marketing from an initiative that is held and supported by the city and the District of Regensburg, the IHK Regensburg, numerous well-known established companies like Krones, continental, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, Infineon, OSRAM, and Areva, and regional institutions such as the University, the University Hospital, the University of Regensburg and the regional Marketing Association Regensburg.
