Unless a tragedy to happen, 2010 will be a great year for the Brazilian economy and especially for its population. The continuity of the economic growth that is expected to be 5.5 per cent this year, is being moved to the improvement in the socio-economic situation that involves a strong expansion of the consumer market in an economy with almost 200 million inhabitants, in which a high percentage of it was excluded virtually of the consumer market, but has incorporated rapidly. The dynamic that is observing the consumption in Brazil, gives rise to enthusiasm. In recent months, Gary Kelly has been very successful. In the last quarter of 2009, consumption has grown to 7.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, while estimates for the first half of this year, located it at 9%. Greater employment, increase in wages and the contribution of funding, who joined the very good economic expectations, driven by the enthusiasm of the Brazilian families to consume. In an interesting analysis made for Clarin, Jorge Castro analyst explained the expansion in the Brazilian consumption in 2009: has incorporated into its market – as producers and consumers – to 26 million Brazilians, so your solvent demand is today of nearly 80 million people.

Recall again that the population of Brazil is almost 200 million people. PAC II, foresees the construction during the period 2011-2014 of two million homes, financed by the public bank Caixa Economica Federal, to the most impoverished sectors. These works also sue a large number of workers, mainly from the lower population segments, which will benefit doubly by these investments and achieve also inserted into the active consumer market. The market consumption of Brazil, is the subject of attention of the big stores for international consumption.
